NHL Betting: Just as Lucrative as Betting on Football

Are you betting on hockey this year? I don’t see very many hands up there. Why not? You won’t find an easier dollar to be made on the four major North American pro sports.
We understand that football is the bread and butter of this industry. But a dollar made on the NHL spends just the same. And it’s still one team against another. The difference is in the marketplace – it’s a small one, and you’ll find the softest lines there, even softer than many low-major college football matchups.
Even if you’ve never watched a hockey game in your life, making an educated bet doesn’t require a degree in Canadian Studies. Try using a baseball-style numbers approach, focusing on the starting goaltenders the same way you would the starting pitchers. Compare their save percentages, and the number of shots on goal the opposition gets per game. You’ve already done more homework than many hockey bettors.
