The Right Way to Play Sic Bo
By Igor Ivanov | November 6, 2007

Sic Bo means “dice pair” and is a lot like roulette in its structure. Instead of a spinning wheel, a roll of three dice determines the outcomes. You simply place your bets on the outcomes you predict will happen. Bets vary on payout from 1:1 to 60:1. The house usually holds a big edge for most bets, especially the bigger odds bets that normally give the house a 30% edge.
Strategy for Sic Bo is the same as all the other games. You’ll do your best if you stick to the best odd bets. In this game, that’s the Small and Big bets which pay 1:1. The house edge on these bets is only 3%; much better than the 30+ percent they’re getting on the others. Playing within a 3% edge is almost as good as it gets in the average casino, so stick to these bets and you’ll have a chance.
