Best Horse Racing Picks for 2008
By Igor Ivanov | January 3, 2008
It’s going to be difficult for 2008 to deliver a higher quality of horse racing than we saw in 2007. But if last year’s juveniles were any indication, there are some outstanding races on the horizon. Horseplayers will want to focus on these emerging 3-year-olds on the Triple Crown Trail.

War Pass: Eclipse Award winner, took the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and posted a 120 Equibase, the fastest of the year.
Pyro: Second to War Pass at both the Breeders’ Cup (112 Equibase) and the Champagne Stakes.
Anak Nakal: Like War Pass, trained by Nick Zito. Won the Grade II Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes.
Tale of Ekati: First at the Grade II Futurity Stakes at Belmont, upsetting Kodiak Kowboy. Fourth place at the Juvenile.
Wicked Style: Won the Grade I Lane’s End Futurity, but 10th at the Juvenile. May be best suited for Polytrack.
Indian Blessing: Took the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies and the Grade I Frizette Stakes at Belmont.
