MLB Futures Betting: Odds on Winning the 2008 World Series

If you’re like most baseball fans October is one of your favorite months of the year. Sure…the weather is still relatively mild and the changing colors of the season is always a delight. But let’s face it — it’s all about the World Series!
Determined by a best-of-seven series between the American League and National League Champions, the World Series is also known by sports writers everywhere as the Fall Classic. The Boston Red Sox swept the 2007 World Series winning 4 games to 0 against the Colorado Rockies. The Red Sox are 7/2 favorites to win the 2008 World Series; meanwhile the Rockies are a 25/1 longshots to win the trophy. The Yankees, who are pretty much expected to make the playoffs every year, are 5/1 odds to win.
